IN ORBIT

like a crackling
old LP,
deaf to my own grooves

like the moon, blind
to my own light,
no eyes

but a pair
of faded
prints from Armstrong’s boots

I WANT YOU

at night,
each wet blade
of grass slowly
dancing

alert
to the flaming
intentions
of the stars
